Average WPM differs between small screen and full screen

I love using 10fastfingers, it is great. I practice daily and it has really help to improve my typing, thanks you very much. But I notice a minor bug which I thought I should mention. In normal typing mode my average WPM shows 55 on the graph small screen on the full screen it is 51. After I close the full screen the small screen now shows average WPM 51. After I press refresh on the browser small screen returns average WPM 55. Which screen is showing the correct WPM?

Thanks for a great product.

Hello,

Both are correct.

The average depends on the number of points displayed on your graph.

In small screen, this number can vary from 1 to 50 points.

In full screen, this number can vary from 1 to 400 points.

So if you have taken more than 50 tests and if you see different averages, it's perfectly normal.

Oh yes, I see what you mean. I hadn't notice a difference in the number of points displayed between the two screens. Thank you for clarifying this. But, I think there is a bug still in that when you close the full screen the small screen now shows 51 which is the average from the big screen instead of the average from the small screen 55. I can update this by clicking refresh on the browser. It's very minor error.

You're right about the bug though. The admin will be able to fix it when he reads this topic.

sometimes on small screens i reach a higher wpm, like 108 or 110. Usually my high scores are 110 wpm ( which is extremely fast) but takes a lot of energy to type that fast, my fingers get sweaty after that.
